The MFC – Male Fertility Center is one of the most technologically advanced male fertility clinics in Israel and the World.
The Male Fertility Center is a full-service, clinical laboratory that provides in-depth, high resolution, male infertility evaluation and testing, as part of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures.
Striving to conceive and bring a child into this world is probably one of the most fundamental aspirations people have. The disappointment and frustration when unable to conceive cannot be measured or described in words.
At the Male Fertility Center, we believe that we should do everything possible to assist potential parents who wish to conceive and fulfill their aspiration and longing.
Male fertility problems often arise due to one of the following reasons: poor sperm motility; low sperm count or sperm structure problems. These can all reduce chances to conceive. The services provided at MFC are designed to overcome these challenges, by identifying and selecting the sperm most likely to lead to successful fertilization and pregnancy.
The Male Fertility Center provides a range of male fertility services to healthcare professionals, fertility specialists, fertility clinics and IVF teams.
MFC services include:
- MSOME - (Motile Sperm Organelle Morphology Examination) is a process performed under an overall optical magnification of 6300. MSOME is a diagnostic tool that enables the MFC embryologists to determine in each case, whether the IMSI procedure should be used, or whether standard ICSI is sufficient. MSOME can be used as a diagnostic tool for male infertility in cases of unexplained infertility.
- IMSI – Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection (IMSI) is a modified microinjection procedure, in which sperm cells are selected for fertilization, under optical magnification of at least 6300. During IMSI, the sperm with normal head morphology will be selected for injection into eggs.
- Searching for Small Numbers of Spermatozoa- The search for small numbers of spermatozoa at MFC offers meticulous and accurate search for spermatozoa, under high magnification. Careful search enables finding of sperm with minimum motility, previously diagnosed as immotile spermatozoa. Rare sperm search also enables finding of rare spermatozoa, even in cases that were previously diagnosed as Azoospermia (absence of spermatozoa from the ejaculate) in routine semen analysis. This precise Sperm Search and its successful results to date, offer hope to males previously diagnosed with Azoospermia during routine semen analysis.
- Freezing Small Numbers of Spermatozoa - This novel technique of cryopreservation of very low numbers of spermatozoa aims to maximize fertility perseveration for males after testicular sperm extraction, or for males who require sperm cryopreservation. Freezing small numbers of spermatozoa is also designed to reduce the need for additional Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE) procedures, in cases in which pregnancy did not occur.
The Male Fertility Center laboratory is situated adjacent to Assuta Hospital, Israel’s leading and largest private hospital and chain of medical centers (Rishon LeZion Branch).
